Blockorama is a curated experience from the Blackness Yes! team in collaboration with Pride Toronto, and is Pride’s longest-running and largest stage, proudly centering African, Black and Caribbean Queer and Trans communities since 1999. Blockorama is more than a party, it’s a vibrant celebration of Black love, joy, resistance, and artistry. With high-energy performances from DJs, drag artists, musicians, and dancers; Blocko (as it’s affectionately known) is where community comes alive.

This iconic space holds deep cultural and political significance, providing a vital platform for Black 2SLGBTQ+ voices and fostering intergenerational connection, healing, and empowerment. Blockorama invites you to be part of a legacy of resilience and brilliance. Come through to feel the bass, celebrate our stories, and witness why Blocko is the heart of Pride.

In 2022 we introduced a new event, Blocko After Dark on Saturday Night for a second day of Blocko. Blocko After Dark starts on Saturday night at the same time Blocko Sunday finishes (11pm), and is a space where the party turns up to the fullest. It’s youthful, sexy, and fully nocturnal. It’s where nightlife meets community, and where you’ll want to be if you’re craving that deep, Black queer dancefloor magic.

On Sunday, OG Blockorama takes over with daytime energy, an intergenerational spirit,family, friends, and chosen kin come together in the sun to dance, vibe, and recharge. It’s political, it’s powerful, and it’s rooted in care and collective joy. It’s also where our legacy lives, where generations gather to honour the past and build our future.
